Home Security-an Integral Part
of Personal Safety
Security is one of the most talked about issues today. Across
the globe everyone is concerned about his/her personal,
residential, and business security. The heightened concern is
due to the increased crime and violence. No one is safe from
crime today. Men, women, children, from toddlers to the elderly
all are vulnerable to crime at some point in their life. So we
need to be really serious when it comes to securing our home.
One of the major concerns today is the security of your house.
Homes with a
security system have far fewer break-ins than those that
don't. You'll sleep better tonight knowing you have that
protection.
You may think that once you lock your doors and windows that all
is okay. The fact is that your house is highly vulnerable to
crimes such as burglary, robbery, theft etc. that can eventually
lead to more serious crimes such as murder, abduction, assault,
rape, etc.
One of the most common crimes today is home burglary. According
to the FBI, a burglary occurs somewhere in the United States
every 15.4 second. If we define burglary, it is "a
non-confrontational property crime that occurs at home in our
absence."
